Short-Form Video Sizes: TikTok Aspect Ratio, Reels Size and Shorts Dimensions
Export vertical video at 1080×1920 pixels, a 9:16 aspect ratio. That is the native size for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels and Snapchat Spotlight.
If you make short videos for more than one app, one export size covers nearly all of them. The differences are in length, file limits and how much of the frame each app covers, not in the pixel dimensions.

What aspect ratio should I use?
Vertical 9:16 fills the screen on every platform in the table. YouTube states that Shorts must be square or vertical, so a 16:9 video stays a regular upload however short it is. TikTok and LinkedIn accept other ratios, but square and landscape video is shown with bars or a smaller frame, which wastes space on a phone.
Feed crops are different from full-screen size
A video can be 1080×1920 and still be cropped. Instagram and Facebook may show a Reel in a shorter 4:5 frame in the feed, which is 1080×1350. Frameguard lets you preview that crop and a 1:1 square version. See the Instagram Reels safe zone guide for details.
Size is not the same as safe zone
The pixel size tells you how big to export. The safe zone tells you where to put things inside that frame. Use the safe zone checker to see both.
